SM 12 - Redox Metabolism
In this module, you will explore the central role of redox processes in cellular physiology, metabolism, protein folding, and signaling, as well as their implications in diseases such as cancer, neurodegeneration, and metabolic disorders. You will gain hands-on experience with advanced techniques in yeast and mammalian cell culture, genetically encoded fluorescent sensors, protein purification, and enzymatic characterization to investigate cellular redox states and pathways. By the end of the course, you will be able to independently design experiments, analyze redox processes, and apply these skills to a wide range of biochemical and molecular biology questions.
