SM 07 - Cryo Electron Microscopy

In this module, you will explore the principles and applications of electron microscopy (EM) in structural biology—from the fundamentals of electron optics to 3D reconstruction of macromolecular structures. Through hands-on training, you will prepare EM samples, operate transmission electron microscopes, and use computational tools and high-performance computing to process and analyze EM data. By the end of the course, you will be equipped with both practical and computational skills to visualize protein structures and apply EM techniques to diverse areas of biochemistry.
